WINTER SPECTACULAR at Charles E. Trefurt Elementary School: December 16, 2021!

Please see the attached flyer and order form for our 2021 Winter Spectacular.
Children will have the opportunity to meet and take a photo with their favorite Winter Prince, Princess or Snowman for $5. This is optional and all proceeds will benefit student activities. Hard copies of this order form were also sent home with your child on Thursday, December 9.

Santa Photos at PS8

On Thursday and Friday, December 9 & 10: ALL grades will take a picture with Santa. This is free of charge and the photos will be sent home with students as a gift from the school. This is a separate event from our Thursday, December 16 "Winter Spectacular" where students can meet and take a photo with their favorite winter character for $5. Please see the flyer sent home with your child or our separate post for more information.

Please see the attached documents in English and Spanish for information about having a Fall Pumpkin Patch photo taken of your child. Order forms will be sent home with students, all proceeds will benefit student activities.

Virtual Open House: Tuesday, September 21, 2021

Please see the attached document for information regarding the elementary virtual OPEN HOUSE, and Zoom links to your child's classroom meeting. Please join us to meet your child's teacher and discuss expectations for the year or clarify any questions you may have. We hope to see you there!

START STRONG Testing: September 29th &30th, 2021

Please be advised that 4th and 5th Graders will take a 2-part (Language Arts & Math) assessment on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept 29th and 30th. The test will assess "prior year" knowledge (i.e. 4th graders will be tested on 3rd grade knowledge, etc.). The purpose of the test is to gather data and to inform future instruction. Please make sure students arrive on time every day, but especially on these two days.
