JCPS middle schools rank top in the list

Did you know that Charles E. Trefurt Elementary School PS8 is one of 337 New Jersey schools that are Sustainable Jersey for Schools certified? Charles E. Trefurt Elementary School PS8 achieved Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification at the Bronze level in program year 2023. Certified schools are recognized leaders that are making important contributions toward the long-term goal of a sustainable New Jersey and world.

Fire Prevention and Safety education are extremely important...and can be fun too! Here are a few pictures from our Field Trip to the JCFD Summit Avenue Firehouse. We would like to thank Captain Healy and the JC firefighters for a great day! The children enjoyed learning about fire safety, practicing Stop, Drop and Roll, and even got to "drive" the firetruck! Thanks for all that you do for our Community 🚒
